Boy howdy was that ever stupid. Did he think Sox fans would embrace him because of that? He was the frickin MAYOR OF NEW YORK!!1!! To RedSox Nation, he'll always be a Yankee fan by default no matter what he says. All he did was alienate Yankee fans (more than he already had by fucking up the 9/11 cleanup, screwing the firefighters, etc.)
